What a freaking day. Well I took Junie to the vet this morning because she was acting funny and there was some concern about a swallowed sock :rolleyes2:

She spent all day there for observation and waited until the end of the day to decide to start projectile vomiting. SO yea, Junie had surgery today. And now I'm headed to go sell one of my kidneys to take her to the emergency vet for overnight observation.

I swear, I call her my million dollar dog but she doesn't have to keep proving that I was freaking right :cuss:

Ack, I'm so sorry I know how that goes. I'm glad surgery went well though

If you need it you can use Kayden's inflatable e-collar and we can search for cans together on the weekend for some extra cash

Where did she have surgery

Oh that sucks. If I was in the market for a kidney, I would buy yours to help you out. :hug3:

Thanks you guys, you seriously gave me my first real smile today. It's been a crappy day of epic proportions.

Matt she went under at 5:30 this evening. I just got back from Irondequoit and talking to Dr. G. I reallllly appreciate the trash can offer!

Oh and the culprit was a thick, dry, white sock. Must have been very tasty Junie, truly :rolleyes2:

Oh geez...ya know Junie probably was watching those infomercials..the ones that explained how you can use socks for just about anything, like warming your feet, walking in snow and ice, polishing your boots and she thought she'd see if one would meet her daily fiber requirements

I'm glad she is doing ok. Did Dr. G end up doing the surgery?

How long does she need to stay at the emergency clinic?

Let me know if you want Kayden's blow up collar (it was a lifesaver)

I thought one of the dogs had gotten a colostomy bag from the title...glad it was just a sock. ;)

Seriously though...I know that must suck right now. I tell the dogs every day that they can't have an emergency...mom can't afford it! :nono:

Matt, yea Dr. G did the surgery. I went there to transfer Junie to the e-vet but made an executive decision to keep her there. I think I'm gonna need my kidneys right now and the surgery bill is enough thank you very much! After talking with Dr. G, I feel reasonably confident leaving here there overnight. If all goes well she will come home tomorrow after I get out of jury duty.

I may take you up on that blow up collar. I'll let you know.

Mmmmmmmm.....sock. :crazy2: Buford once barfed up an entire bandana.

Glad to hear the surgery went well and continued good wishes for Junie and your wallet. :)

I'm glad she's doing better, did they have to remove any intestine?
