Hi! My name is Sharon and my boyfriend (Bill) and I adopted a 2 year old pit named Bo about 10 days ago. Bill previously had a pit although I never have. I have however have quite a few weimaraners and in these 10 days have noticed many similarities! Bo and I went to DOTCORNY this evening and met Michelle for some help with manners for Bo. I think he will respond well!

Welcome to the forum! What about Bo made you adopt him?

I guess there were many reasons why we chose Bo. We wanted a pit and so I kept my eye on petfinder for one. He was really quite adorable in his pics...he has a look in his eye that remined me of a dog that I had as a kid so that sucked me right in. I also liked that he was coming from a family who had had him since he was a pup. They recently had a baby who has a lot of health problems and felt Bo needed to be with someone who had more time to devote to him. And I guess I liked what they had to say about him, that he has never displayed any aggression, that he is smart and learns quick, that he is a lover, etc. In the couple weeks we have had him, everything they have said has been true. He didn't come with many manners, which was evident the first time we met him, but I think he will learn pretty quick. He is already a lot better!
