Colby did his very, very best this weekend. The water was absolutely FRIGID, and it affects poor Colby's joints so that he can't run as fast as he would normally. But, boy did he try!!! He got up to 22'4" for his first competition, and the announcer announced he was jumping for his buddy who was just diagnosed with cancer. He came in 4th of over 40 dogs, which isn't too bad for his first time out this year.
Sooo.... Colby saved up his bones and kisses, and we managed to get $75 to donate in Indy's name to the Chase Away Canine Cancer foundation through the ACVIM. He offered to give up his Wubbas, but I told him the ACVIM doesn't love them as much as Colby does.
Colby also wanted to tell you that he is going to South Carolina this weekend, and his goal is the same...jump his heart out for Indy!!! Maybe he'll get that 23 footer this weekend.
Awwww, Colby!!! Thank you so very much!!! And great job on that fourth place!
And thank you for being so brave in that COLD water! Enjoy that warmer water in SC.
