Blue has been trying to kill me since last night . . .

Food, Fitness and how to keep them healthy.

Postby SisMorphine » February 11th, 2009, 10:29 am

. . . with his poisonous gas. :puke:

I went to class last night with Teeny, then went out for drinks with my friend. My dad was taking care of Blue, but he called to tell me he wasn't feeling good. I had Blue's kennel in my car and I didn't want him to break Teeny's kennel, so I told my dad just to leave him in the room. I had just cleaned and I knew there was no food in there.

Well I came home and opened the door and Blue, instead of going crazy that I was home, kind of walked up to the door, saw it was me, and walked away. So I started to investigate. Nothing was out of place. Nothing torn open on the floor. Then I saw it.

I haven't had the chance to get into Boston to get chicken backs, so my dogs have been getting 1 kibble meal and 1 primal meal. Well I had just filled my 20 gallon bucket with kibble that morning. Blue SOMEHOW figured out how to get the top off (even though I know I locked it on) and ate approximately 2-3 pound of kibble. Fucker!!!!

So we were up all night long going out to poop. And the gas is SO BAD that my mother opened her basement door (my apartment is at the opposite end) this morning and made my dad check for a septic leak :puke:

I hate him. Anyone want a gassy blue dog?

Just an FYI, he continues the gas attack. I gave him a SUPER TINY bit of breakfast, and only to mix in Flagyl and Kaopectate. He has already crap a total of 8 times since last night . . . and he usually only does it 1-2 times daily. And he's STILL trying to eat stuff. I hate him.

That SUCKS!

At this rate, I'd say that you need to lock up all food. At one point we used a plastic thing used to secure cupboards so babies couldn't open them to keep Birdie out.

The little bitch ate it right off the cupboard handles.

Use metal cupboard locks.

Yeah food is now all in the back hallway. It's hard when you only live in one room!!

LOL Exactly. Well he had a smallish breakfast today, and hasn't given off a death fart since about midnight last night. His stomach is finally back down to normal from all of it's distended greatness. Though even after everything he went through he STILL stole a dog's half eaten dinner on our way out of work last night. He really is a total idiot. But I love him.
