Back from the ER

Food, Fitness and how to keep them healthy.

Postby ellie@ny » February 2nd, 2009, 11:03 pm

I just got back from the ER...
When I came home today afternoon,Milo wasn't feeling well. When I let him out of his crate,he didn't jumped in my arms as usual, and was walking very slowly.
I took him outside and he had diaherria once.
Then I called my vet right away but they closed today by 5 PM.So I headed to another vet nearby me who was still open.
They checked him out,no fever, normal heartbeat, but pain in the stomach....
After x-rays were done,we saw there was something in there...
But they were about to close too,so I had to take the x-rays with me and go to the ER vet...
After waiting another half an hour, the doctor said she doesn't think he'll need surgery, but they have to keep him in for the night just incase.
The thing that's probably causing the trouble:raw hide from Sunday morning.
So we'll see tomorrow how's he doing, and go from there..I truly hope he doesn't need surgery, cause it's been already 870$...

Good thoughts needed for the Monkey boy Please!

Thank you for all of your good vibes!!! :)
I called them today morning and they said he's feeling much better now,not dehydrated anymore,urinated-pooped,no vomiting or non stop diaherria which is the most important..
So they will give him breakfast and see if he can keep it down, and if everything goes well he can come home in the afternoon.

Lots of good thoughts heading Milo's way. Also sending lots of good thoughts to your wallet, in the hopes that it won't be depleted more.
