Hello all! My name is Sarah and I live in Juneau, Alaska with my girlfriend and our "kids" Zyda (1-2 yr pit bull) and Jack (stubborn mean cat).

I'm a member of numerous other pit bull forums and just now heard about this one. I'm eager to learn more about the breed, share opinions, and generally just meet new people passionate about the breed.

Some pictures of ZYDA MAE LION-BERRY...

contrary to popular belief, i CANNOT see Russia! and it is absoultely freezing here today.

I sorta came into pitbulls by mistake, we went to the local rescue looking for a kitten, which they didn't have any of, and this beautiful dog caught my eye. So we played with her a little and took her on a few walks and decided we couldn't go without her in our lives! We've had Zyda for about 6 months now, things are great, still learning as much as I can. I hope to get her in OB classes soon. She's great at everything I would just like to get her more socialized so she doesn't jump and get all hyper crazy excited around new people and places.

How "Zyda" came to be....
we got her from the local humane society where her name was "Frieja" said like FrAya. I'm an idiot and couldn't remember the name, and just didn't like it so we decided to come up with a new name that was somewhat similar to make the transition easier.

We came up with Zyda (it has the ah in common at least :| ) I love Zydeco music, so it made sense to us. Her full name is Zyda Mae Lion-Berry.

Thanks for the warm welcomes everyone!!
