Inara's feet have been bleeding from the ice/snow/cold this winter, so I purchased her some sled dog booties from www.dogbooties.com. With shipping they were $15, and honestly - WORTH EVERY PENNY. These bastards are so ridiculously simple, yet they stay on and they actually keep Inara's feet dry. I'm sure eventually they'd get wet, but we were playing in the snow tonight (deep snow, almost up to her belly) for about 10 minutes, and they stayed on and kept her feet dry.

These are the ones I got, in red, size small:

I'll get pics later this week - Inara has a red jacket coming her way ( ) and I wanna get the whole outfit in the picture. But seriously, if you're in need of some booties I give these a whole-hearted two thumbs up.

I do not appreciate your mocking tone.

But yes, yes they are. :cheeky3:

I bought Trouble a set several years ago when we were in Alaska. They are wonderful for pitties that lick their feet raw, too :nono:

I think this is the company that I ordered Birdie's from.

My damn dog refused to wear them. She pulled them off and deposited them into my lap. When I put them back on, she ate one to get her point across.

I gave the remaining three booties to a friend with a service dog, she ordered the missing bootie and her dog wears them quite happily.

Nope, just plain fleece all around, so they wouldn't be good for tile or hardwood surfaces. Entertaining perhaps, but not real useful.

They do have some made of cordura that probably wouldn't slide if you want indoor/outdoor use.

Inara does the "bootie march" for the first minute or two, but as soon as we get outside or I start playing with her she's fine.

Honestly, she only did the bootie march for a minute or so after the first time I put them on her. She doesn't do it anymore. I think part of it is because they're not stiff at all so she can still feel the ground, you know?

And there are pics in the gallery of the booties if anybody wants to see them. Yes, I still love them. lol

You ordered small? I would probably think to order at least med. maybe large.
Are they made of just regular fleece cause I have thought of making them.

Awesome! Jessie has a pair of muttluks that are too small, hard to put on and the velcro doesn't hold so I end up picking up boots behind her.

These seem nice, and fairly priced, I'm ordering tomorrow!

Yep - they have measuring instructions on their website. I was hesitant too, but they are the perfect size. And yes, just regular fleece. I would imagine if you have any sewing skills whatsoever (which I do not) they would be very easy to make. Fleece with some velcro around the top.

I'll probably order black, I'm really not into putting boots on my dog so they better not show off too much, lol.
Here's miss J in her winter suit, her Chilly dogs coat under her Shedrow "horse blanket", and her muttluks. She looks like a cloth sausage.
