Lump..

Seamus went to the vet today to get a lump looked at..they determined it wasnt a cyst and some sort of tumor. He goes for surgery Feb 20th, hopefully its nothing bad. Everything else with him looks and sounds fine. Just thought I would share.

Did they say what type of tumor they thought it might be?

He took some fluid from it and said from looking at it on the slide they couldnt tell. When they remove it they are going to send it out. Heres hoping its nothing bad. Its a freakin long time to have to wait and find out!

I see. Sometimes cytology can be a bit tough and doesn't always yeild a diagnosis.

It does seem like a long time to wait. Was that because their schedule wouldn't accomodate an appoitment sooner? Maybe they felt it could wait because it wasn't anything to be overly concerned about (being optomistic here)!!!

I had to wait so I could get the money for the surgery..It sucks I said February and they said the 20th. If I had the money I think they would have preferred sooner.

Thanks everyone...So yesterday where the vet took fluid from his tumor it started bleeding. I think I might call him to see what he say to do. It also made the tumor look angry! Is that normal
