Is that blur effect on the first picture a camera function or is it just a blurry picture?

Either way, it's beautiful.

It's from the photo editing software we were playing with.

Is it a 'radial blur' effect?

Hmm, it is called "Soft Focus" from the free Picasa2 software I use. You can make the blur smaller or larger, less blurry and more blurry too.

Yup... they are usually clear in the middle and get more out of focus as you get to the edges of the picture. You can get those filters to actually go on the end of 35mm lenses.

Both dogs are gorgeous! But the blur effect on a white dog is just beautiful...

The boys are going to turn 3 at the end of June.
Yes, they are very slender, not blocky. Shades has a longer, slimmer muzzle too. Most people don't think they look like pits because they're not very big. Shades weighs about 44 pounds and Piper weighs more around 48.

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

Same thing here Rocky (boy) is only about 45 pounds at 9 mos old. His head is big for his body however it is also a longer slimmer muzzle like your white and tan. Very few people have asked me if he has pit bull in him.
