I couldn't be any prouder

Postby iluvk9 » January 3rd, 2009, 6:32 pm

I am very fortunate in life. My son has always been, and still is, a wonderful young man. I raised him as a single parent from 3 years old.

Today I visited his city firehouse. Last night, I sent Missy 40 cell phone photos to help me select what to wear. 8)

While I DID expect lots of bare-chested firefighters just hanging around, I wasn't disappointed seeing my son on the job he loves.

The doors.

I had him put his gear on.

I couldn't even stand up straight with the jacket on.

I REALLY wanted to go on a fire call. Heels and all.

My face hurt from smiling so much.

You're both such beautiful people...seriously. :) I can see why you're so proud of him... 8)

I love his FD...it's what I think of when someone says NY and FD in the same sentence...lovely.

PS...we're taking our puppy class to visit the fire department on Wed. night...any tips?

Thank you. :)

The only thing I can say, is don't expect them to be walking around half-naked like the FDNY calendar. :sad2:

Did you get to slide down the pole? That would be awesome. And I would demand video!
