Elderly girl needs a little help - Baltimore, MD

I posted about Moon in the adoptables section but it was suggested I post here. Moon is a sweet old Boxer mix, maybe American Bulldog mix, stuck in the shelter where I work. Of course I am the biggest sucker for the seniors but this girl is at least 14 and has had a rough few months. Anyway I'm really trying to get her out before anything happens (like we run out of space and she gets put to sleep). The ONLY reason I am not taking her myself is that like a lot of other people, I'm financially in a pretty bad spot right now. If I can manage to get enough money in donations towards her care for a full vet workup then I will definitely get her out of the shelter right away. I hate asking, normally I just charge it and don't worry about it. The last 2 dogs we've pulled cost us about $1200 in medical bills plus my own dog is getting $60 worth of meds and physical therapy a week for her leg. Combine all that with me taking a 50% paycut and you have one very poor Baltimorebully
In case anyone would like to help Moon I have a paypal account under the email midatlanticbullybuddies@yahoo.com or my vet will glady take donations over the phone (410)833-8085 (just tell them it's for Rachel/pit rescue)
Thanks in advance for any help.

Do we know anything more about this girl? How is she with dogs and cats?

I can't donate anything right now but I can help a little next week. It's a start right?

Kat, I'll find out more, but here is the rescue post with an additional pic.

"Moon is about 14 years old. She is currently at the Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter located at 301 Stockholm st. Baltimore, MD (where I work) She desperately needs a place to live out her golden years. Moon is wobbly when first getting up and on slippery floors, she is very thin and her teeth are awful. Despite being in the shelter for a month she is the sweetest old girl I have ever met and doesn't pay much attention to the other dogs. She loves treats and her whole body wiggles with delight every time I go by her cage. I would really love to bring Moon home with me but I just can not afford vet care for her now. I'm hoping for a little after Christmas miracle here.
Oh yeah, her adoption fee is waived until the end of the year"

I didn't know you worked there...

I'll pass her info around...I can't afford to take her on, but let me see if there is anyone who can...do you have a concise bio of her...like a petfinder page?

Duh... I just read that! Sorry, I tend to read fast and don't always get it all...

But I will still do what I can to find this girl some help!

ETA...if she needs a temp. foster, let me know...I can probably take her in...I can't vet her or anything...but I can provide a safe warm place to sleep, and food and toys.

That's the easy part. Getting her to me may be more difficult....
