Hee, hee. One of Gremlin's Birthday presents

Anything that doesn't fit into the other three catagories

Postby Hoyden » December 21st, 2008, 1:52 am

Gremlin turns 7 years old tomorrow.

Here is one of her presents. A tiger toy that she wanted. Of course, I had to make some bling for Mr. Tiger.

Image
Royal blue 1/2" collar with domed rivets and a little leash. Wild animals need good gear too, even if they're pretend wild animals.

This will give you an idea of how small it is. 6" long x 1/2" wide, made of a piece of scrap oak tanned leather that I had in my bin. I wish I had a 3/8 buckle on hand though.

Mark says I'm mad as a Hatter. I say he has NO imagination.

Can't wait until Gremlin sees it tomorrow. She'll be so happy.

I'd bet(not actually ever having met any of you ;) ) she'll like it, too :)
I can only please one person per day. Today is not your day, tomorrow doesn't look good either.

So since I see you're still making collars, do you have a website up yet?

I would have loved that as a kid...I always had toy animals like that...and a collar/leash combo would have been even better! I'm jealous of Gremlin! ;) I used to put a small choke chain (we never used it on our real dog)...and leash on my stuffed beagle and drag him around the neighborhood.

Tell her Happy Birthday! I'm sure with that present, it'll be a great one!

That looks like a lot of work, but at least the tiger won't grow out of it. 8)

I am working on it now. I'm a web-moron, so it's taking me awhile.

It's funny you say that because MANY of Gremlin's stuffed animals have collars. Even Fluffy.

Not really. It took me all of a hour to paint the scrap with leather paint, make the collar and fold a piece of 3/4" light polypro in half & sew it up.

Gremlin and I would get along just fine, I think. :) I still have little dog figures all over the house to play with. ;) I have a plastic Aussie on top of my monitor...he came from some Final Fantasy set...I :heartbeat: him. :D
