I'm glad everything was okay - what about the lump on her back? When do you get the results from that?
And Inara says screw the blankets, give her ice cream!
The whineing has diminished considerably. I have a small sheep skin that I covered her with and then put a blanket on top of that. She seems more comfortable.

Inside me is a thin woman trying to get out. I usually shut the bitch up with a martini.
Was she still very groggy when you brought her home? Some dogs take forever to wake up but as soon as they are a little concious they howl howl howl, they almost wake up howling, poor babies.
I bet she is -hold on, cheesiness- snug as a bug in a rug!
She was awake but not super steady. She howled the last two hours she was at the vet. She's laying next to me with her eyes half closed not really sleeping but not looking interested in moving a muscle.

I just saw this.... I'm glad she's ok and everything went well.
I would have been worried too. Give her a big hug when she feels better. She'll probably feel a lot better tomorrow. My dog had a hard time after her spay, the anesthetic made her puke all over, but she was fine the next day.
