So, in some self-flagelating moment, I decided to intentionally max out my house in terms of fosters. Current denizens of the zoo are the last of the summer's kittens, T'Pol:

Then came Gabriel (aka Gabby), yet another flame point and just the mellowest chatty cat you ever did meet:

Taffy is a Merced rescue who is as sweet and sticky (ok, clingy) as her name, although her manners are not the greatest. She is now a YCSPCA foster and starts official boot camp tomorrow. At 39lbs, she is a little big to be a pocket pit, but she's tiny compared to everyone else in the house, so I think of her as my "small" dog.

I had a short-term YCSPCA foster who ended up getting adopted in a week, and while I was waiting to hear whether they needed me to take in another dog, I was negotiating with Merced who to take next. The night before I was to take 2 Merced dogs, YCSPCA got an owner surrender request for a leash-reactive, resource guarding herding mix. So, guess who gets the honor of doing her boot camp? Naturally, her name is Sugar:

And last, but not least, the male dog I requested to round out the estrogen-fest at the house. But no, not a bouncy puppy to help burn off energy for Desi & Taffy; I had to fall for this face:

What looks like saggy neck skin is actually a softball-sized (hopefully fatty) tumor, so YCSPCA and I are now trying to figure out who will do his surgeries & who will pay for it all. In the meantime, Barney is just happy to hang out in the yard and pee on things.
