Nationals Weight Pull

Weight pull, Protection, Agility, Flyball... you name it!

Postby mnp13 » October 5th, 2008, 5:27 pm

I have one minute to do an update...

Riggs had qualifying pulls all three days. He actually decided to work for me, it was absolutely FANTASTIC. I can't tell you how proud of him I am. Friday he pulled 610 (10.83 times his body weight), Saturday and Sunday he pulled 1040, 20.something times his body weight. The little porker weighed in at 52 Friday and Sunday and 50 on Saturday.

The highlight of the weekend: Nationals was won by a three year old, 54 pound female Pit Bull from Oklahoma named Liberty. She won both Most Weight Pulled and Most Weight Pulled Per Pound. She not only out pulled all the dogs there by weight percentage, but for the over all title she beat an 80 pound, adult male Saint Bernard.

She pulled THREE THOUSAND POUNDS.

Ok, reading off the back of my ribbons...

He was in the 60 pound weight class all weekend

Friday - 52 pounds, 620 pounds pulled, 6.85 seconds, 11.92 times body weight

Saturday - 50 pounds, 1040 pounds pulled, 13.88 seconds, 20.80 times

Sunday - 52 pounds, 1040 pulled, 8.79 seconds, 20 times body weight

On Sunday I decided to skip a rotation, so they added 280 to the cart and he didn't complete the pull. I think he would have pulled 1180 though.

Someday we will finally beat the Ibizan Hound! lol

It was GREAT meeting everyone! Riggs wanted me to thank you for trusting him with guarding Bodacious. It gave him plenty of private time to flirt with her.

LOL good thing she wasn't in heat... LOL. Riggs was very gallant to take care of my little princess and Queen Ruby was a doll to play with my coo-coo baby brat.

LOL Wait is it OK to let go of the leash now Michele?

yes, I'm quite sure that it's ok to let go of the leash... but thanks for asking!

At the next trial we'll even get you to let her play with Ruby!
