Amazing dog!

How does your dog know which decoy to get if there's more than one? I'm thinking of the scene where Porter jumps the gate and runs past the first decoy to get the 2nd.

wow :o this is one of those videos that just wants me learn about the sport and get involved.

another question, are the sticks that they hit the dogs with as a simulation of what an attacker might do?

I'm sad to say that Porter died 2 years ago from bloat. However, he was one of the most extreme dogs to have competed in PSA. He earned his PSA 3 (a feat achieved by only 5 other dogs). Last year, his son, Bullet (an EXTREMELY nice dog) won Nationals in the Level 3's, and he earned his PSA 3 title last year. Lamont (who owned Porter) is currently competing in the Level 2's with Porter's son, Porter Jr. It was always great watching Porter b/c he was such a great dog...

What porter has done in the video is he's being directed onto a particular decoy. You can send your dog in a certain direction to bite a certain decoy.

The sticks are used to simulate a fight/attack...they agitate the dog...
