Michael Vick Documentary

Postby AnimalPlanet » August 15th, 2008, 3:02 pm

Hi guys

I'm assuming this counts as pitbull news, if it doesn't - please forgive the post! Just wanted to let you know about a documentary that we are really proud of. It premieres next Sunday (August 24th) at 10PM on Animal Planet - of course ;-).

I'd love to hear your thoughts on the show once it airs and also on the site.

Be honest!

Thanks

-Grace

I just set my DVR...
I think the mentality they're putting out there isn't "once a fighter always a fighter," which is awesome.

I just marked my calendar!

I took the quiz and have to say that the treadmill question was great!

I am interested to see whether the opinions of PETA are going to be part of the episode, because, well, Ingrid Newkirk is not a friend of the pit bull and they took full advantage of the publicity that came with the case.

Hey guys

I'm so glad you are liking the quiz! Our executive producer will be happy to hear it.

Question: If the quiz gave you some sort of 'I know my pits' badge, would you display it on your site? Or would that be sort of cheesy.

Again, glad you're loving the site!

You know where to find me with questions ;-)

oh gosh, I'm sorry, I wasn't clear enough

I didn't mean your site as in pitbull talk, I meant the universal your- as in a question for the community.

your (as in anyone's) blog, myspace, facebook, personal site, etc.

:)

As long as it's got rhinestones, I'm in!

I'd put it on my sites...:)

BTW...my mom was very proud of herself...she only got one wrong (the first War dog). She's hoping to watch the show, if her dogs will let her (she can only watch AP because they bark at the dogs on screen)...and yes, she knows it's a training problem...lol

That saying reminds me of arm pits, and holes in the ground... Something along the lines of "You really know your facts about Pit Bull's, or anything else would seem much better to me. :)

Otherwise, good to see postive media coverage.

On the BadRap site an interesting question was raised that perhaps AnimalPlanet can answer here.

Is the HSUS, PETA, or any other animal rights organization financially tied to the Animal Planet channel?

I'm interested in the show itself, as I have long argued that former fighting dogs are quite capable of leading normal lives after being seized. I'm also the first one to pipe up when someone repeats an incorrect piece of information about our dogs (the old "they have to be forced to fight," for example).
