Pit Bull has Kittens

Pits in the news and info on Breed Specific Legislation.

Okay, I know I'm on a CNN.com kick this morning, but there's good stuff (and bad).
Right in the middle of the page, in the section where they have videos, there is a clip of a pit bull caring for three orphaned kittens. There was no sound but it shows her grooming and cuddling. Very cute! And they specifically say she's a pit!

BOSTON -- A local pit bull's motherly behavior is belying the fierce stereotype that often characterizes her breed.

A dog named Ramona in Stoughton, Mass., has become the mom for three orphaned kittens.

Ramona's owner is fostering the kittens until they can be placed for adoption.

She said since they arrived, Ramona takes care of them like they were her own.

She cleans them, watches over them and showers them with affection.

Cute story, but I hope that well-meaning people don't use it as an excuse to try to "socialize" dog aggressive Pits to other animals.

Munkee LOVES kittens, LOVES THEM, but hates the site of another dog. He is really quite gentle with all of my cats.

Dreyfus has been around cats since he was 9 weeks old. He goes crazy!!! There was no socializing him with cats. :| Diamond seems o.k.

Maddie is gentle as can be and perfectly fine with the inside cat. Yet seems to hate the cat that stays outside. I'm not sure if she would hurt him or not, though I think it's the fact that he hisses and swats at her while the inside cat is calm with her? Before I took Maddie she was being raised with cats, so I'm not sure if that made the difference or not. Now if she can get a hold of any other animal outside it's totally different.. :|

Ben will not learn that Felina nor any other cat is not lunch! I've tried and tried to correct him with her to no avail. She wants nothing to do with him (I think she's knows, lol) and he is too overly interested in trying to get her.

I seen that pretty girl, and her kittens on Good Morning America, it was very sweet. Those kittens were too cute.
