Postby ccc2006 » April 5th, 2006, 8:23 am

These dogs are available to rescues. They are urgent as the shelter does not adopt out them out.
The following is the info. I received from the shelter:

Roscoe - male Brindle, 7 months old

No other info. given on this one, other than he/she is emaciated and wants to climb in laps

Poor girl here, pregnant, due very soon. They say she is very friendly.

Got a height and weight on the Middle pup, I doubt it's a Dogo but the head looks long enough. Legs don't look right but it could be a cross.

Sorry, no height/weight given. I get limited information from this shelter and I'm 2 hours away. There are 2 closer people on this board that may have this info.
I'll try to get some more info. as well.
Here's another picture of this one:

I didn't meet any of these in person . . . I think I was forwarded an email with the first dog in it, tho.

If there is an interested rescue, I will certainly go down and check these dogs out, eval them, and snap a couple more pics. If anyone is interested, tho, it's very rare that this shelter will hold the dogs for any length of time . . . it's an act-fast kinda thing with them!

It certainly is an "act kind of fast thing". Sheesh. That 1st pull was crazy!

Update: The pregnant female had 7 babies at last email message to me.
They are still looking for rescue.

I just saw that email too. I really dunno how the hell a dog could raise puppies in that environment. That place is a disease factory--cold, wet all the time, dirty. Ugh.

I wish they didn't let her go to term on that litter. I know they had no choice, but still. Now not only is there an adult female in need of a home, but a boatload of new babies.

I wish I knew someone who could raise the litter around here, but I don't. Even the pit bull friendly all-breed here isn't taking in any more dogs right now.

I know, I was thinking that too :(
Having a dog raising babies in any shelter environment is just sad...no less one that doesn't adopt out the breed.
The creep that did her ears in, certainly doesn't help her either. Damn people.

I just realized that I might know somewhere they could board for free or extremely cheaply . . . but I don't think I can afford to vet 7 pups plus an adult female when all's said and done. And around here, pit bulls--even puppies--don't seem to be in high demand either.

I might go down and talk to Debby today. I am not really sure what the female is like, nor do we have any clue what the father of the litter is. Might be kinder to let these poor dogs go than to let them die of parvo or coccidia or something awful in that shelter.

Or maybe I can work something out with her. I just don't know. :(

Will post again if I come up with some good news here.
