Training and restraining certain breeds of dog-especially pit bulls and rottweilers-will become a legal issue when Chetek adds a vicious-dog ordinance to its city codebook later this year.

City Clerk Carmen Newman says the ordinance isn't finished yet, but owners of certain breeds of dog will be required to take extra precautions to ensure the dogs don't harm anyone.
