Benton Man In Jail For Threatening Another Person's Life
BENTON, KY - A Benton man is behind bars for threatening a person¢s life involved in a vicious dog case at the Marshall County Judicial Building Wednesday. Officials say 40-year-old Robert Bomgardner was asked to come to court as a complaining witness in a vicious dog complaint. During a meeting with the state, Bomgardner demanded the dog be destroyed. He became upset after being told that it was unlikely that the dog would be destroyed and that a hearing would determine what would happen to the dog. Bomgardner used some bad language and stormed out of the building. That¢s when he approached the individual that had been charged with harboring the alleged vicious dog and threatened her life. After talking to witnesses and completing an investigation, officials got a search warrant and served it to Bomgardner charging him with retaliating against a participant in a legal process. He was lodged in the Marshall County Detention Center in lieu of $2,500 bond.
