Miss Amber's roommates

Well, since our last 3 rattie girls went to that big rattie ball in the sky, I said no more little pets. Late last year Amber got a call from a friend that her hairless girlie rat had not been obese, but had been preggers and had given birth. Soooo, Amber relentlessly wore me down over a several week period, and here we are again! Even though the mother was hairless, all the babes had hair, albeit a few have very thin coats, and of course, we had to get the runt of the litter, whom you are about to meet.

Without further ado, here are da boyz, Larry, Moe, and Curly! lol

Larry says 'Hey you two, turn around! It's our big camera debut!' :)

Does this cage make my ears look big?

Just look at the curly little whiskers on our sparsely haired fellow (also the runt)! lol

The little dude needs some wrinkle cream lol

Hey, this house isn't big enough! :o

CURLY IS SO ADORABLE!!!

I want to say he's a double rex . . . but I've been out of the rat world so long I can't remember. Can anyone correct me here?

I want rats. NOW!

So does Randy. That's why that room is babygated because he stands right in front of the cage licking his chops! lol lol lol lol

BTW, Curly is by far the most outgoing and friendliest, though the tiniest. He is sooo sweet! Oh, and he has no problem beating up his brothers when they give him hell lol

Out of curiosity, are hairless rats immunodeficient like nude mice? :?

Mister Randy, you are trouble!!

When I had rats Wally always poked them with his nose to make them squeak. He is also not rat safe. LOL!!

I would say no because I have never heard of hairless rats having anymore problems than the fuzzy ones.

Hmm. That's so cool.
Must be a different mutation, then.
I think my dogs would sure love to eat them some rats too.... Not a good idea here.
