I have never had to do this before but the time has come that I need to ask for donations for surgery for one of my foster dogs named Scooter. Our rescue just doesn't have the funds needed to fix his leg and we just had my other foster dog, Maggie May, go through emergency surgery Friday for a bowel obstruction which cost us $1200.
Here is the information regarding his surgery and I thank everyone in advance for anything they can spare. Please keep good thoughts for this boy too.
This is the link to his fund raising page:
Scooter is a 10 month old neutered male American Pit Bull Terrier dog. He was abused and brought into the local animal shelter and was saved by our rescue, Dead Dog Walking Pit Bull Rescue, from euthanasia. He has been living in my home as a foster dog for 2 months. When we got him we noticed he had trouble walking on his right hind foot at times. We examined him a number of times and felt no swelling or breaks and he never complained. Still, he continued to limp and the right foot grew to be smaller than the left foot. I was recently able to have an orthopedic veterinarian examine him and have xrays done. It turns out poor Scooter has a broken ACL and ruptured meniscus that has stopped his leg from growing and causes him pain. He will need surgery to get it repaired otherwise he will end up losing his leg. Scooter is a very good boy full of love and always happy. He is looking for someone to adopt him where he can live the rest of his life with his own family and lots of love. But first he needs to have surgery and our rescue does not have the funds his surgery will require. Will you please find it in your heart and pocket book to help Scooter get his leg fixed so he can run and play without pain?
We are a non-profit 501c3 charity and all donations are tax deductible. Please let me know if you would like a tax receipt. The veterinarian who will be performing his surgery is Dr. Munjar at
