My little girl Vega, earned her novice jumpers title this weekend with a 3rd place in the 20'' (border collie) class, with a perfect score and a fast time.
She also earned an open jumpers leg (1st time), with a 2nd place, and a open standard leg. She would have had a second jumpers leg except for a sneezing fit (including rubbing her nose and face on the carpet) causing 2 refusals, on an otherwise picture perfect run.
This was only her second weekend trialing and she is doing a beautiful job.
I feel bad for the runs we didn't qualify... they were my fault, sloppy handling for the first show of the new season. We will get better. If only my skill could equal her potential... I would love to qualify for Nationals with her someday.
Here are some pics... sorry, I am included

Her titles now include NA, CGC, TDI, TT, NAJ

I am VERY proud of her! (betcha couldn't guess :o )

Congratulations! I love the pic of her going through the poles. And I have to admit, though I felt bad, I laughed when you said she had a sneezing fit while rubbing her face on the carpet. :D

Thanks guys! She is an awesome girlie.

The sneezing thing WAS pretty funny. But when she started rubbing her face like it was really uncomfortable, I wanted to help her. I would think sneezing repeatedly for 20 seconds (maybe only 10, but it seemed like a long time) might be a little uncomfortable. I thought she might bash her nose on the floor.
Several other dogs also had the same thing happen on the course. Maybe some carpet treatment they were alergic to? :|

Man, she is a really fun, smart dog though. :mrHappy:
