Urgent NC

Postby CinderDee » July 27th, 2008, 7:43 pm

I just got this via email and it broke my heart. I'm sure it's a long shot, but maybe someone will be able to help.

MOMMA DOG W/9 PUPPIES JUST GAVE BIRTH AT THE SHELTER.

This girl is in a high kill gas shelter - she gave birth to 9 pups soon after being brought in. Nothing like leaving her and the pups on a concrete floor - a blanket or a towel at least would be nice. She's obviously scared to death. Please, please cross-post - this poor mom needs help fast for her and her babies.

Wow, the look in her face... I wish I could do something, if she gets pulled by someone and they need donations, maybe I could help.

I got an email saying they have been pulled by a rescue. I'm trying to verify this.

I also got this email and it breaks my heart! I wish I had room and some help, I would for sure scoop them all up in a heartbeat. The mommas always get to me.

And wtf can't they give her and the babies some blankets or towels :x

Keep me posted, I would be more than happy to help with a donation as well.

Omigod, I really hope this is true. Can you find out which rescue, I'd like to send a donation to help with their care.

I just called the shelter, I wanted to make sure a certain rescue we know wasn't the one who pulled them :rolleyes2:

Someone named Sylvia in NC pulled them. I guess she runs a rescue unofficially to help them out. I called her and she gave me the information for another lady who runs a rescue in Newport News, VA. I'll call her in a little while to get a status.

Btw, when I mentioned how I received the email, Sylvia said the email was kind of exaggerated. She said she pulled them almost immediately and they were boarded at the vet for care until they went to the VA rescue.
