Please Say a Prayer

Postby pitbullmamaliz » April 1st, 2006, 11:32 pm

My sister was just rushed into surgery because she was hemorrhaging. She is pregnant, due in mid-May, but has a condition where the placenta is below the baby. They were going to do a C-section on Tuesday, so I'm hoping that because it's just a few days earlier both my sis and her baby come out fine. But please say a prayer for them. I'll post an update when I know something. Thanks.

So my sis and the baby are both good! Zachary William Thurber was 5 lbs 5 oz, 17 3/4 inches, and scored an 8-9 on the Apgar. He is in NICU on oxygen and an IV. So all is good. Thanks for prayers and good thoughts!

They're expecting that everybody can go home Tuesday or Wednesday. And as soon as *I* get pics, I'll post them!

Okay, I finally got a couple pics of my new nephew! That's an IV sticking out of his noggin - I guess that's the best place in newborns?

He's adorable! Congrats to the new parents. My granddaughter had to have an IV put in about a week after she was born, and it was in her head too. They told me it was the easiest place to put one since they have such tiny veins.

I"m glad everything worked out okay!
