Wally Joins the Cancer Club

Here is where we can discuss canine cancers and treatment options to create a support system for those dealing with the disease.

Yea! I'm so glad to hear he is eating. That is awesome.

What we won't do for our pets, 'special' homemade ice cream. That's too cool. It's so nice you can bring him to work with you, at least you know how he's doing and he isn't alone.

I just put him out in the kennel yard to pee and instead of emptying and demanding to come back in he actually walked around and marked for the first time in 2 weeks! Now THAT made me happy. LOL!

And my apartment is in my parent's house so if I ever have to leave him home (which I have to on Monday due to schedule BS) then I know he's being well taken care of because my parents absolutely adore him.

Here's a list of what's in the powder I sent you. :)
Chlorella

Barley Grass

Wheat Grass

Rose Hips

Brewer’s Yeast

Kelp

Maitake Mushroom

Shitake

Reishi Mushroom

I got the ingredients here. http://www.mountainroseherbs.com/
Some of the mushrooms had to be manually ground, but others were sold as a powder.

Dinner was a struggle last night, but he ate some in the end. He ate his breakfast this morning without a problem, almost half a poun of raw and some ice cream.

He didn't want to come to work today, which broke my heart, but I made him anyway. He gets to stay home for the next 3 days in a row so he can suffer with me at work today, damnit!

I am so sorry that you are going thru this with Wally. You and he will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Love him as much as you can for as long as you have left with him. That is what I an doing with Georgie - just love him and love him - sometimes that is all we can do.

Grrrrr! I woke up and found his friggin' pred under my pillow. I didn't even see the dirty bastard spit it out last night!! I hope missing one dose doesn't throw him too far backwards. I'm so worried about his weight right now, he seriously can't miss a meal, he has no fat or muscle left to lose :(

He currently is snuggled up in bed . . . actually touching Teeny! I think he's lost his mind . . .

I could have sworn I was told Pred has a cumulative effect, so missing one shouldn't throw him off.

Naughty naughty Wally!! No spitting meds!!!

Missing one won't set him back hardly at all. We use pred for my kitty and she
occasionally does the same thing. Maybe from now on try pouring a little water
down his throat right after the pill to make sure he gets it? :|

Wally has probably eaten around 2 pounds of meat today, all spread out over about 5 or 6 little meals.
