Horse pictures from the past...

If it's a non-human, non-Pit Bull, family member, post it here!

I thought some of you horse people would like to see some of my horse pictures.

My first hooved love~ Rosie. She taught me how to ride...

...and was there for me for many years. She wasn't my horse, but I sponsored her for a long time. I always wish I could have bought her, gotten her away from the trail/lesson horse life.

Me and Eldon, my first horse. Such a good boy. :)

Me and Dream, my wonderful mare. You may have caught my essay on her, that is now gone in cyberspace. Wish I was able to keep it. I'm going to go see her this summer and am so glad, I miss her all the time.

Me at a collegiate horse show in New Mexico a few years ago. The horse you ride is drawn randomly, and you are judged on you (position, confidence, balance, etc.), not your horse.

Hope you liked them. :)

I'm so jealous - I took riding lessons for 13 years. I just can't afford it now and I miss it terribly. Ahhhh, who was it that said: "There's nothing like the outside of a horse for the inside of a man," or "Heaven is the wind that blows between a horse's ears." *sigh*

Thanks guys! I know exactly how you feel pitbullmamaliz, I haven't been on a horse in like a year, and it makes me so depressed! Especially since there are lots of horses around where I live, so I am constantly tempted to jump neighbors fences and spend all day in the pastures with their horses, lol.

Yeah, my next door neighbors have three horses, but they put them in a back pasture during the winter. Hopefully they'll let them back out front soon so I can go over and pet and treat them.

Awesome pics!! Beautiful horses.

As a kid I was around horses all the time. In fact, my first major accident was on a horse. I haven't riden in years but my mom still owns a horse.
I am "The Rat Queen".

Have a great day!! :)

Dream is very pretty! I miss my horses, I grew up owning and riding.
When we were wee ones, my brothers and neighbors, we would go into the pasture, jump on bareback, with just a halter and go ripping thru the fields.....gawd, I miss those carefree, devil may care, no fear days.....thanks for sharing your pics!

These are such cool pics!

I wish I had more pics of me on horses...

And I too miss riding, I'm so sad I won't be an instructor at camp this summer, I miss it already... We're all on the same boat...
