Guess what I got?

If it's a non-human, non-Pit Bull, family member, post it here!

Postby iluvk9 » July 14th, 2008, 9:16 pm

I got him in someone's "divorce sale". His name is Astro. He is an 8 year old Golden and was going to be PTS. Either I am an angel or I am a sucker. :)

He is fat, unkept and while usually nice can be a bit snarky. Tomorrow he goes to the Vet for vaccinations, a VERY needed nail clipping and whatever else.

Awwww, Joyce... you're a sucker-angel, no doubt about it. :hug3:

How are your three reacting to him?

So far, so good with the other three. I did everything PERFECTLY when introducing them. :) Astro is now glued to my side, on a leash.

Congrats, SUCKER! :giggle:

He is cute! Are you planning on keeping him or are you fostering while looking for a permanent home for him?

(he doesn't match your color scheme of all dark dogs!)

He's mine. He lived a rather isolated life in a crate. Oh, and he ate Ol' Roy.

Well he has no idea what Eden he just fell into!

He looks like a big boy - how much does he weigh?

Oh, Joyce. Bless you for saving this gorgeous boy from some unknown fate. He will forever love you for it. (But you already knew that).

Welcome to PBT, Astro. What a wonderful thing to do Joyce, I'm sure the rest of his years will be much better than the first ones. :)

Does this mean we now have to change the name of the forum to Pit Bull/Labrador/Golden Talk?

Thank you all for your kind comments. He must be at least 20 pounds overweight. He seems to have a sway-back, but he can kinda run. More like a "galump".

Gee, I've never seen a snarky Golden  He's a pretty boy, and a lucky one to have found you!

Best of luck to both of you.

SUCKAH!!!!!

That's awesome that he fit right in with your kids. I bet once you get him a good grooming and on some fabulous food he'll be a whole new dog. But he'll need a new paint job . . .

Is that sign of shock dripping with as much sarcasm as it would be if I said it?
