Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this forum and was referred by Jenifer. My husband and I own 4 GSDs (I know...not Pits, but equally fun and exciting to live with). My husband and I both work with dogs (training and behavioral problems). We became involved with training after purchasing an American-bred shepherd from a breeder here in Ct and needed to take him for training (he was a handful). We began working with John Henkel Sr. in New Milford. If you don't know John, he was a wonderful man and sadly he recently passed away. He gave us so much. We apprenticed for 4 years and now breed and train with some confidence. We're working with his son now and have found him to be just as good as his father. I'm excited to be involved with this forum as it appears that everyone shares their experiences, good and bad, and we can all learn a little something from each other. I am also anxious to put to rest all of the bad press associated with our breeds as well as to work hard to breed out those bad characteristics that give them a bad rap. It will be great getting to know you all! See you in the threads...

Oh good, I'm not the only non-pbt owner here. Michelle said I wasn't but I heard a rumor that she lies to get people to sign up.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! I'm having a really hard time getting my pic posted. It's telling me that I need to resize the photo. I'll figure it out eventually. I have 4 pointy eared (I like that) dogs at this point. Going on 5. 2 Males and 2 females and possibly another breeding/show female on the way. We train in obedience and have done some early bitework with the female. We've also bred two fantastic litters. Wonderful temperaments! We also work with other dogs with behavioral problems...mostly agression, but some easy house-manners issues as well. I love this forum. There is a wealth of information here and I hope I can measure up enough to contribute!

Are you using Photobucket? You can post pics as big as 500x500 pixels. :)
