First Bloodwork Since Going Raw

Postby BullyLady » July 6th, 2008, 12:42 am

Well Sirius had his first blood workup since he's gone raw. We have been feeding it for 5.5 months, so any imbalances should show up by now. Whether the imbalance is from my feeding incorrectly or just from the dog not handling it well we would probably know at this point.

Bloodwork was done at Pet Emergency as part of his screening for the blood bank, and then sent on to Sirius' regular vet. I called the vet and her exact words were, "His blood work looks stellar!" Yaaaaaaay!!!!!!!!! Good thing too, cause this was his last hope at being a normal weight. :giggle:

Oh, he also got a fecal, urinalysis, and an infectious disease panel and he is healthy is the proverbial horse and worm free!

Yay for Sirius!! That's great news. I hope he continues on his weight gain. I'll even give him some of my fat if you wants it! That's right, I'm nice enough to share ;)

Great news! Yay for Sirius!

It's almost time for us to have bloodwork done just to make sure things are ok as well.

I think Raw is SO much more healthful for our fur babies than any kibble, or canned food could EVER aspire to be.
