I'm taking him Sunday to be evaluated/temperament tested by Leah at Spindletop! Wish us luck! I'm sure he'll pass, but...still... :)

Didn't take any pics - honestly, we just sorta hung out. Leah asked my hubby and I to do some stuff with Reno, she watched some people go by, the put him on a pring collar and tought us how to do some stuff wiht him. She got some other people around him and she pet him and touched him all over....we hung out...and she said he's fine! :) I'm really happy about that! She said he just needs more socialization and that we should keep working with him and training him and introducing him to people. This means we get to have him full time now. YAY!

We also went out and got a prong collar after she showed us how to use it and some things to teach him on it. So far, with the use of this collar, it's been a night and day difference already! I didn't think I'd get training tips as well! She also looked at some spots on his back that are a bit balding that we were told and just assumed were due to dry skin and allergies - she said it looked like D. Mange, and gave us a collar to put on him to help out.

The whole experience was awesome! I'm so happy to have reassurance with Reno. I was nervous to take him in the first place, and it's nice to know that me thinking he was a sweetie despite his growling problem wasn't just me wanting him to be a good boy. It was great to get the reassurance that all the work we're putting into him has been worth it and to be encouraged to continue on. 8)
