Happy Anniversary

My Hubby and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary a couple weeks ago. And, I use the term celebrated very loosely. We were at the wedding of a friends daughter and about halfway through I leaned over and said "happy anniversary". He was like "it's our anniversary", me "yep", him "back atcha then", and we both proceeded to giggle - we'd BOTH forgotten our anniversary. Of course, giggling during a wedding ceremony while the priest is praying - not a good thing. But you know how it is, once you start laughing in church, you can't stop.

Hopefully next year we'll remember to celebrate. Although this year wasn't as bad as last. Last year it was a week or so later and he said to me "didn't we have an anniversary recently?" :crazy2:

Some friends of ours who's anniversary was a week before ours separated a couple years ago. They always used to do elaborate stuff for theirs, so it was kind of a reminder that ours was coming. Now that they're separated, we seem to forget. But, at least its both of us forgetting so no one is mad.

Yeah, thank goodness they handed out programs with the date on the front - it jogged my memory..."hmm, why is this date so familiar...OHHHHHH, duh". And even then I'd been reading the danged thing for about 45 minutes.
