Blood Diamond - I know it's supposed to be factual, but I'm really hoping it's not. If it is, it was very disturbing and I'd have trouble buying a diamond after seeing it.

It is absolutely factual... and then some.

Which is why I will never wear a diamond.

I just finished it, and thought it was great. I don't know if I'd say the end sucks, as much as it leaves you shaking your head saying, "WHY????"

He should've left the little girl where she was. In theory, and in the movie at least.

I didn't like Coverfield at all. I thought National Treasure 2 was okay.

Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee
Very, very good movie.

Very loosely based on the book... and the book is awesome.

Stardust - Whimsical, fun to watch. Little on the long side, though.

Atonement -- Gorgeous film, HORRIBLE ending.

No County for Old Men -- Good film, extremely intense.

Love in the Time of Cholera -- The book is perfect, but this movie comes close as an adaptation. Just to mess with my head, one of the suitors is the actor who played the killer in No Country for Old Men...

We're watching American Me right now. No matter how many times I see it, it remains a great film.

I watched Wanted and Hancock yesterday afternoon.

Hancock was not AT ALL what we thought it was going to be. The first thirty minutes have you thinking that crap, they gave away all the cool/funny stuff in the previews but then WHAM. I guess I anticipated the sharp curve, but that didn't make it any less fun, or sexy. I actually ended up crying at a Will Smith movie.

That said, I did like it, but I can't say anything else without giving stuff away. You'll know what I mean when you see it!

Wanted was such a disappointment, even with the Angelina hotness. It was just so darn...weird. I actually laughed out loud during some of the exposition, because it was that ridiculous. Curving bullets, that's cool, explosive rats, kick ass, healing powers of a hot wax bath, sexy...but fate handing down life or death decisions through a LOOM is about as believable as George W. Bush depending on a toaster for advice. Oh...wait...

Looking forward to Hellboy II next week, mostly because I loved Pan's Labrynth, and I'm excited to see something new from Guillermo del Toro.

And then The Dark Knight! Sad and exciting at the same time...
