Uveitis is something with the eyes. When I picked her up, one eye had almost a blood spot in it and the other pupil was fixed. Naturally, the next day her eyes were completely normal.
I went to the businesses the day after I found Lunch, and no one had seen any cats/kittens. Around the corner from the tile business is a so-so apartment complex & a couple of houses where I counted 5 cats just hanging around the yards/driveways. I didn't bother even approaching those houses because a) they might want the kitten back or b) they would try to give me 20 kittens. Call me coldhearted, but I don't want to know the extent of the cat population and or their s/n status.
I'm already kinda p-o'd about the foster cat situation because of $$. My free s/n option would have required me driving a minimum of 45 min each way the day before & the day after surgery to pick up, or I could just take them up the road to my mom's clinic & pay a reduced fee, so I took them to my mom's clinic. I may see a little money from my co-worker who took the gray kitten, but mom is free to a friend of mine as a barn cat and since she lost her job a few months back and is now working at OSH and is doing me a favor by not making mom cat go back to her POS owner, I don't feel right asking her for $. I will probably get something from the adoption fee of the lilac point kitten, but little miss Lunch is one of almost a dozen black kittens YCSPCA has right now, so I don't see her going anywhere soon.
I keep posting the kittens on craigslist and they get flagged off within a few hours, even though I'm asking $30 for spayed/neutered, tested, dewormed, deflea'd, box trained, socialized kittens.
I give up! Miss Lunch will probably be free to good home if the lilac point kitten gets snapped up at adoptions this weekend, which I'm kind of counting on happening...
