Oooh! I had a garbage plate when I went to Rochester this last time!!! It was disgustingly good. :D

I took a picture of it because I was so intrigued.

Yeah...that's just disgusting.

I've never heard of a garbage plate...but it's what my dad does to almost every meal. How can a person do such things to food?

I have lovely cheap plastic plates from Wal-mart (reusable) that are sectioned. LOVE THEM. :heartbeat:

Actually, I very rarely put sauce on my spaghetti...it tends to make me itch...I seem to have a mild allergic reaction to tomatoes. My lips itch afterwards. :yum:

Certain things are meant to go together...biscuits and gravy for example...

some things are supposed to touch and some things are not.

Suposed to:
macaroni and cheese
steak and mushrooms
noodles and sauce
gravy and meat
gravy and potatos

NOT SUPPOSED TO:
everything else.

Now, the meat and mashed potatos and gravy are an interesting thing - because gravy is supposed to touch both, you can let the same gravy puddle go across them and even put meat and potatos on the same fork because it's part of the same grouping. That gravy may not touch the vegetables, but may touch the bread if you are cleaning up what's left on the plate, but not until then.

dry things can touch if you separate them when you eat them.
