Thank you-Kona is very tired - the count is 9 with 5 being stillborn :(
I don't know why. They are all stained with meconium like they were stressed a great deal. She's got 1-3 still inside her. I'm giving her honey by the spoonful to give her energy and she's drank some water. I'm hoping the end is in sight. I can't believe she has so many...maybe that was part of the problem :(

Probably. Especially since she's so small herself.

Poor momma. I'm glad that 4 are doing well so far, though.

Aww, poor momma - that's a lot of babies for a little girl. Shame about the stillborns, hopefully the rest will be okay.

Thanks Jenn! We slept in the spare room in case she had another while we were asleep. She was taking care of the live ones OK but I took the deceased ones right away so she wouldn't have to deal with it :-(
The last one came on a trip outside to presumably go pee!
Here's a photo of him moments after he was born.

They are adorable. How is mom doing this morning? Thanks so much for being there for her.

She is doing really good, amazingly enough! We gave her a can of puppy food and some dry kibble and she really chowed it down. She's a great mom, she truly is.

And you're a great "grandma" for helping her through it all. You should be proud of yourself.

I am so glad mom is OK. The remaining puppies are in good hands and paws, as are the stillborn ones.
