RIP my oldman

Postby airwalk » June 5th, 2008, 9:00 am

On Tuesday we made the decision to release Charlie to the Rainbow Bridge. His advancing age, dementia, and other health related issues made his quality of life very restricted.

You came to me as a scrawny 18 month old, barky, goofy stray. Your owner never came to reclaim you, so you claimed a place in our hearts. You drank beer with the boys, you chewed everything you could get your mouth around, you "drove" the mustang and every other car you thought you could get away with. You loved puppies and helped me train Scooter. You love kitties, babies, your boy and dad.

My brain totally gets all the reasons why it was time...my heart...not so much.

Sweet Charlie, be in peace as you wait for Diana at Rainbow Bridge.

I'm so sorry for you loss Diana. It's a good thing our brains make the tough decisions that our heart's can't. It allow us to do the things that are right when the time comes. And our hearts allow us to hold the beautiful memories for a lifetime.
