I have an APBT mix who is around 18 to 20 months old. His name is Dylan and I got him from AC a little over 6 months ago. I love him.

We are currently focusing on his OB lessons but I plan to start training him for weightpull in about two weeks (when my harness comes in :D ). I'd also like to train him for agility once he has completed his CGC.

Other than that, Dylan loves long walks in the woods, nighttime bike rides, and swimming in the river. Squeaky toys are his favorite and there's nothing he won't do for food. He can be a little picky about the dogs he socializes with but we are working on it. He also has some dominant behaviors that I am trying to stop. All in all, he is a great dog and I have really enjoyed him so far.

Here's my beautiful boy:

Oh my goodness he's so handsome!

How did you get interested in pit bulls?

I actually kind of fell into pit bulls. I've always been a big fan of dogs that can actually do something...I tend to like larger, more muscular breeds. Anyway, while volunteering for a rescue while in college I worked with several bull breed dogs and just became really enchanted with them. Dylan was one of those dogs (one of the last ones actually) and for some reason he was different. When this couple showed some interest in adopting him I just couldn't let him go. So now he's mine.

Oh, I also have a 3 year old orange tabby cat named Darrell. He is the king of the house.
Also, no BSL where I am in Florida....thank God!
