Busy Saturday Pics (tracking, SAR and puppies!)

Weight pull, Protection, Agility, Flyball... you name it!

Postby dogged » May 3rd, 2008, 6:16 pm

I met up with my good friend Rebecca, Mike (Rebecca's boyfriend and club decoy-in-training) and her family for some tracking this morning. The club has been given permission to use this farm in Grovetown to track on.

Tate and I got to the tracking grounds first. I let him off leash to run around, but not on the field. Lets go, mom!
Image

The "new" tracking grounds. This is not even half of it. I'm happy as a clam.

What we came here for: to track!
This is what happens when Rebecca figures out how to use the zoom on the camera... :lolol:

Mike's Malinois Ronin.

I'm learning SAR basics from Rebecca, just for fun. She has been doing SAR for years with her wilderness cert Malinois, Ruger. I love picking her brain. Tate is my teaching dummy for this. Here we did a simple search.

Run, Rebecca! Run!

When she got around the corner...Find 'em!

Tate's "bark alert."

After that, Tate got to run around all willy-nilly. He is good at the willy-nilly.
Image

Tate got put up and Ronin got to enjoy the scenery.

So did Solstice (Rebecca's other Malinois).

Solstice! Find mommy!

Malinois litter, out for some socialization. I won't bore you with all the pup pics, but here are a few.

Mal puppies are absolutely irresistible...however, let's all start praying to puppy and mommy gods now...Asja is the mom...and need I remind you what she did last time (hint: Rocky is a product of her)?

However, I gotta say, Solstice and Ronin are simply stunning!

You aught to like Solstice, Katrina. He is Jue's grandson!

Yep, he was from the Gator x Krow-Bar litter of Kristina's.

I believe Rebecca is doing Schutzhund with him and he is amazing. Just a the most impressive calm, full-mouth bite.

That's so great. I always love to hear about Jue's offspring...and now I get to hear about Jue's grandson! Yes, Krow-Bar was formerly known as Katastrof! Kristina got the dog from Joe Morris...very social and sweet dog! And Gator is a Jue x Donna daughter. It was the first breeding they ever did with Jue...

It's funny...as defensive as Jue is, he's also very calm and very full in the bite...

That's so cool...

If you'd like, you can give Rebecca my info, if she ever wants to see pics of Jue at work (or video)!

What a great field to go play and work in! I think I could spend all day there...and I KNOW my dogs could.

Those Malinois pups are too cute. I love black masks on any breed. :D
