Dexter did the ATTS test today and did very well it think. The chief tester said we got mostly 6's and up! Lilabet and her Rottie passed too. If I recall correctly she got 8,9, and 10's!!
I'm so glad thats over with! It was a long wait for a 5 min test but it was worth it. There was another Pit Bull there too, who also passed. He was a very handsome boy and he and Dex got to play for a bit.
While we were int the ring waiting to start Dexter decided to pee! Luckily none of the testers saw it but everyone else did and they were laughing and saying "shhhhh...dont say anything!" AND...in the middle of the test, my cell phone rings!!! I could not believe it! No one EVER calls me so I did not even think to turn it off.
But we passed anyways...

Thanks guys! I'm so proud of him! Maybe We'll be ready for CGC next year. Then he'll be Dexter TT, CGC...or CGC, TT??? The whole day was a lot of fun and a good experience for both of us. I was exhausted!!

Congrats!!!! Woo hoo. Ruby (female) is a marker - so I don't know how we'd do on NOT peeing unless I deprived her of water for a few hours!

What's the MAIN diff btwn the ATTS and CGC? Is the ATTS a more substantial test? Seems that some/many of the test components are the same... (???)

The CGC is meant to be a test of training and manners, the TT is meant to be a test of temperament. ideally you don't "train the test" for the TT. The TT is also specifically set up to build stress in the dog, with each exercise creating a cumulative effect.
