Movie suggestions

Everything that doesn't fit anywhere else!

I don't know if anyone else has Netflix but I definitely recommend it. If you get an unlimited plan you can watch a bunch of movies for so much less than Hollywood Video or Blockbuster

Anyway, here are a few I have watched recently

Just Like Heaven- cute, entertaining, some funny parts

Life is Beautiful- awesome, sad, but so good

The Passion of the Christ- good, sad, too graphic

The Transporter 2- good action, suspense (Jason Stathom is hot), scientifically farfetched, but good

Bewitched- cute

Red Eye- suspenseful, worth renting

War of the Worlds- ok, pretty suspenseful

Sahara- just ok

In Her Shoes- cute, entertaining

Skeleton Key- suspensful, yet kind of disappointing

Hotel Rwanda- a true story. very very good. Don Cheadle is great

The Pianist- a Holocaust movie. Really worth watching

Monster-in-Law- very cute, entertaining, I laughed

I saw Crash recently- I recommend that to everyone. VERY good movie. I have seen The Notebook several times, it is such a good movie. A sad "chick flick" I guess, but I love it.

As always I will recommend my favorite movie of all time:

Wet Hot American Summer . . . made by David Wain, Michael Showalter, and Michael Ian Black all of MTV's The State. Absurdly hilarious. A good all around movie which is extremely quotable.

Oh and it has David Hyde Pierce, Janeane Garofalo, and Paul Rudd in it. If that sweetens the pot for anyone . . .

Walk the Line - very good recent movie

Top Secret - excellent parody of Elvis type war movies. Early Val Kilmer movie

Dangerous Liasions - one of my all time favorites. It'll make you wish you had no conscience so that you could do similar diabolical things. Has John Malkovich, Glen Close, Michelle Pheiffer, Uma Therman, Keanu Reeves (in the only movie I have ever liked him in). Costumes are great, secnery is great, story is great.

Footloose - who doesn't love a cheesy 80's movie?

A Knights Tale - a good movie. Not life transforming, but it's fun to watch. Make sure to watch it with directors comentary, there is some hysterical stuff in there.

Les Visitors - it's French but it's very very funny. You can almost watch it and just follow along by the action.

My all time favorite is "Same Time Next Year" it is old, has Ellen Burstyn & Alan Alda in it. It's another cheesy love story but it is so good. I usually don't like like cheesy love stories. :|

Cold Mountain- Jude Law, Nicole Kidman, Renee Zellweger, also Natalie Portman. Good civil war movie- not really the fighting- but about a confederate soldier trying to make it home. Renee's accent in the movie is hilarious.

I think my favorite movie is

THE REF

I love that movie - Dennis Leary is hysterical.

My favorite quotes from the movie:

"Your husband ain't dead, lady, he's hiding."

Connecticut is the fifth ring of hell.

What ever you do, never, ever, EVER, EVER rent Lion in Winter. Although the costuming is good if you're into historical re-enactment, the movie is torture to watch.

We just watched The Constant Gardener last night. It was ok, a little slow at the beginning, but also kind of sad. I was a tad bit disappointed.

Folks with Tom Selleck & Don Ameche is one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. It's a fairly old movie.
