Could you guys make one of these? Or could I?

It's for the springpole.

I'm sure we could, how big is it and what exactly is it for?

yes, I saw that, is it intended to be the only bite surface for the dog? I would think it would get pretty slimy pretty quickly.

I love the cotton rope that I have at my house. It's easy on the teeth, I can wash it and it absorbs the drool

It appeals to me because it will improve grip.

not necessarily. If it is hard for the dogs to hang on to, they may improve their grip correctly or compensate incorrectly.

the instinct for some dogs is to dig in with their canines, but if they don't have a full mouth grip that puts an immense amount of strain on the canines.

I'm working with Riggs on that now. He prefers to take 3/4 to half grips on the tug and the psring pole. Once he is on the spring pole he switches to a one side of his mouth grip. I make him out every time his grip is less than ideal.

I think you should move this thread to the training section

I'm looking at it to train for the hangtime competition at the bullympics.

My problem with ropes and pant leg type things is that it puts side pressure on the dog. I want something that they can grip in the middle.

If you get one of the 2 inch thick cotton ropes you can fold it in half so there is a large loop formed that will hang correctly for a straight on bite surface.

Don't use anything harder than jute or linen...

Teeth break very easily and are expensive to replace.

Good grips are a product of genetics and proper training.
