I'd like to post some information on New York's drive to pass a law protecting dog owners from insurance discrimination, but I don't have access to the other forums.

The Dog Federation of New York's website has details, though.

You want more info on me? Not a lot to tell. . .
My dog has somehow reached the age of nine--I have no idea where the time went. He clearly thinks he's still about a year old ;P

I'll post some pictures once I find somewhere to host them.

And yes more info on you! What got you into the breed?

I'm glad you joined!

Everyone...Mahlon is great! The ADOA helped me out big time with my battle with the mayor up here.

We do like to get people to open up a bit about themselves in the intro though so please tell us a little more.

What got you into the breed and doggy politics?

Hi! How long have you been a bully lover? What got you interested in the breed?

What got me into the breed? LOL Musta been fate. . .

We moved to the country, finally had the time and space for a dog, so we went to the local shelter. All we wanted was a shorthaired, good natured dog that was athletic enough to enjoy jogging with my husband. And, naturally, the best candidate there was our joyful, sweet pit bull boy.

That was about eight years ago. That dawg doesn't know it, but he taught me so many things since then!

Mahlon

(PS: thanks for the kind words, Romanwild! I'm hoping to make it up to your neck of the woods this summer, by the way. Would love to pay a call on the mayor ;P)

thanks to SisMorphine for the Photobucket suggestion!

Here's our boy, Cuba:

The photo is kind of old, but at least its pretty much in focus. LOL We took him to Hudson to celebrate the repeal of BSL there a couple of years ago. They retained a muzzle law--despite the statewide pre-empt of such nonsense--which the Hudson city coucil finally rescinded. So we beat feet for Hudson!

To respond to Romanwild. . .I didn't deliberately get involved in "dog politics". I think dog politics comes to all dog owners who aren't basically asleep at the wheel. These are difficult times.
