This must be crisis day. I need a nurse.

Postby madremissy » February 27th, 2008, 9:04 pm

Help, anybody on line a nurse, no a nurse something. Bristol is freaking out because she has only felt the baby twice today. The nurse finally called her back and said eat a big meal and some sugar. If she doesn't feel her to go to the emergency room and get on a monitor because there might be something wrong with her heart. Now WTH would you tell someone that to scare them to death. I am sick as dog with a cold, the reason why I am trying to stay away from her. Anybody out that can put us at ease????

Eat a big meal and some sugary food :|
Get to the ER...if no movement in response to that.
I remember Ashley moving ALOT when I'd eat!

Bristol is in the bath right now. She said she did not move from 11:00 last night until 12:00 today. We went through this conversation this morning and that is when she put a call into the doctor. I don't know I am rambling now. She has called Josh to come home and I told her she knows her body more than anyone and to go to the emergency if she is having doubts.

Peanut butter and honey on toast or a sandwich is terrific for pregnant women, it's got protein PLUS the sugar needed for the baby, and if you put it on whole wheat, it's, like, the perfect food.
I hope it's all OK and just a sleepy baby...

OMG, Josh just came in the drive way on 3 wheels. They are on their way to the ER. Better to ease her mind.

thanks, She is not really a whiner . This is the first time she has had any concern. She has been so careful throughout her pregnancy.

Update:
Bristol and Mckinlee are just fine. The doctor said that the baby is growing fast and that Bristol's stomach muscles are tight and the baby is growing fast so she will probably not feel the baby as much as she did before. Something like that. The heart rate was great and they did a sonogram. BIG baby. The doctor said she looks very healthy. She was playing with her feet. They said next time to eat a big meal go lay down and just put her fingertips on her stomach to feel. They were the only ones there so the nurse was really nice. She left the monitor on for a while and wanted to watch them so Brit and Josh fell asleep in the bed together listening to the heartbeat.
I am glad they went and Brit feels better. She is not crying anymore. Josh feels better also.
Thanks everyone for your concerns and good thoughts. :groupHug:
Anybody want to change their weight guess? :backRoll:
Now let us all go wait on Asa's baby to come and get Joyce and Truman better.

I'm glad the baby is ok. Poor little girl, I hate that she got so scared.

Ugh, sometimes i hate the time difference! I would have loved to send some good thoughts in time too :(

My baby has had periods of being very quiet as well. I have come to the conclusion that sometimes they just need some good downtime and just don´t move around as much. And on other days they just have a carneval down there :)

When it has been too quiet in my tummy i have asked Steph to listen for the babys heartbeat, and he has always heard it (crazy conductor hearing maybe :| ). Maybe you can ask Josh to have a listen? The tempo is so much faster than our own heartrate so there is not really a chance to mix them up :)
Not sure if it would be more difficult for you since the baby is smaller, but hey it is always worth a try!

Really glad to hear that your baby is looking as healthy as can be!

Hugs,

What good news!!! Tell her that babies cause MORE concern when they are living on the "outside" so maybe this was just to get her prepared for the next 18 years.

(And thanks for the Truman support, Missy)

Thanks everyone, Bristol said she slept very well last night. She said she can feel Mckinlee but it still is very faint. She doesn't have school on Thursday's so she is going to stay home and rest.
Joyce, my mom said the same thing. They are now getting a taste of the worry of being a parent.
