CHECK OUT THIS BEAUTY!!!!

Postby hey21jude » February 11th, 2008, 4:44 pm

OK, so now that I've gotten permission from my boss to post adopt-ables here.....

...I would like to introduce VIXEN!!!

We took her in from a local AC. She was found tied to a pole! When we got her, the collar she was wearing was waaay too tight and it was starting to embed itself into her neck! Apparently no one at AC noticed this...or bothered to check.
Anywho, we got her just before Christmas ( hence the name Vixen). She has turned out to be a fantastic dog! She loves everybody, good with children (8yrs and up), and plays well with other dogs(as of now). She's quite bouncy when you first meet her, but she does calm down and it actually quite mellow for a young Pit. We had her vaccinated, spayed and Vet said she's Aprox. 1 year old. Her Neck is all healed up now and She knows sit, paw, and drop it well.... we're working on stay and down. She needs work on the leash and may need some work with potty training(she has an in/out run at the kennel, and we doubt whoever dumped her took the time potty train her). She is very smart and eager to please. She's very easy to handle as well. She loves to be carried around, belly up, just like a baby! She's easy to bathe and is very good for nails trims as well!
Hmmmm have I left anything out? Oh yeah, if some one does not adopt her soon, I just might! And I can't handle another dog right now so please save me from myself!!! Please take this little girl home and give her the life she deserves!!!

How can you resist this face!!!

I am VERY pleased to announce that today, Vixen found a home!! A very nice young couple fell in love with her! They have a male pit bull who is the biggest mush ever. He and Vixen got along sooo well! I was shocked. Hes a VERY mellow and tolerant boy. They've got a nice new house with a big back yard and lots of love to give her!
I'm so happy that she has found a good home. She'll be able to find out what sleeping in a real bed feels like! Oh gosh I'm about to cry! They going to pick her up next Sat. so I have some time left with her. I'm gonna be such a wreck when she leaves!

btw I'm gonna try to get some pics of her and her new family to share with you guys!

Here are some pics from Vixen's last play day with her favorite little girl! One of the kennel hands brings his 8 year old to work sometimes and she just LOVES Vixen! She almost cried when she found out she was leaving! So they went tubing in the snow for about an hour on Saturday and a good time was had by all!

btw No worries, this was a very closely supervised playtime, as usual. Vixen is very gentle with her.

What are you gonna do with that...THING!
