New flyball pics

Weight pull, Protection, Agility, Flyball... you name it!

Postby TheRedQueen » January 29th, 2008, 2:08 am

This one just makes me laugh...sorry for the links only...I haven't bought the pics yet!

This was the email we got on our team list from another team member...(who was nowhere near "the foaming creature")...that sums up the pic so well!

"It shows how happy Erin is not to be running Sawyer and how thrilled Sherry is to be holding onto the foaming creature. And, most of all it is a great shot of how Sawyer is on the start line."

This is me and Xander on the left, and Sherry (a teammate) holding Sawyer aka The Foaming Creature on the right. (that is spittle all over him and the floor)

Sawyer soaring...(notice spit on forehead)

:| She is kind of a slut you know...;) Well, more like the woman she's named after...a strong woman who uses what she's got.

There are some other nice pics of that Mal...it was very nice. :)

Very well...they're well suited for it, being the right size and having great agility. FB is basically designed for BCs...so dogs within that size/shape range do the best...(not that others can't do equally as well). The distance between the jumps, etc...all designed for medium sized dogs.

The world record team has a very nice Dutchie named Warden...sub 4's dog.

When we were watching you guys we were wondering if there was enough room for dogs like Jue and Cy (who were taught to jump high) to jump...like if there was enough room between the jumps...Jue has shorter legs than Cy...

They have to learn to run the jumps basically...since they're usually only 8-9", the big dogs don't really have to jump at all...just run over them, in a way. We have a lot of agility dogs on the team, and they've learned to jump in different ways, depending on the venue.

The height dogs or really short-legged, non-athetic breeds are the ones that really have to work at it (our keeshond for example)

those pictures were amazing!! Your dogs look great in the pictures...and they all look sooo happy to be doing it!

I would love to get Cookie to do FB...I think she would be so good at it because she has such a great focus on things (which is not always good) and she is soooo fast. But in reality, I need to be better with her basic obedience and heeling with her before I can start any sport with her. She isn't DA but she loves to play with other dogs sooo much that she can barely contain herself with excitement.

Thanks for sharing the pictures. They turned out great and your dogs are amazing!
