Ummm Missy! You know I'm busy next weekend...
In CT!!!
But please post events if you have any upcoming,so I can go!
I have one question! Is the dog has to catch the actuall toy,or only the jump is important?
For competitions called Big Air, it is all about the distance. Some groups give ya "bonus" points for catching it, but it is not required. Your score for a round (often called a wave, or splash) is solely based on the distance of your dog's best jump. So if Colby jumped 19'6" and 21'2", his score would be recorded as 21'2" for that round, regardless of whether or not he caught a toy (some dogs, like our other dog Parker, don't really even care if there is a toy. He is a thrill seeker, I guess, and just does it on his own).
There is a game, offered through Ultimate Air Dogs, that is called Catcg It! In Catch It!, the dog's jump only counts if the toy is caught. You get 2 jumps, and the score is by adding the distances of the jumps(s) that the dog caught it. For example, last time Colby played, he caught the the first toy at 19'4", but missed the toy the second jump, and jumped another almost 20'. His total score for Catch It! was 19'4".
What else can I help with???
