I know... but they are so HUGE! And they don't seem to hurt him... I don't know if that's good or bad at this point.

One on either side of his jaw, towards the back of his jawbone under where his back molar teeth would be? If so, those are probably his salivary glands and can get REALLY big when they're infected or the dog doesn't feel well.
