No, they haven't found him, but at least they keep having sightings!! And the two food traps they've set up have been eaten, finally! They're going to set up some flour trails in front of the food traps next.

Be patient with the food traps they will usually work, it just takes a skittish dog bit of time. Good thoughts for a reunion from here.

There have been a couple of possible sightings. They had a report that someone saw him dead on the road, they went and checked out the body and luckily it wasn't Haggis. (They looked on all of the lost dog websites and couldn't find a match for body and found nothing.) Those have been the only updates so far :(

yet another reason to secure your dogs in your car... I'm going to go buy a harness for Ruby today. No excuses anymore.

On November 21st, 2007, Yeonwoo, Jon, and their two dogs, Attila and Haggis, were on their way to Jon's parents' for Thanksgiving. Their car was rear-ended by a speeding car on Route 50-Eastbound, just before Exit 11-Collington Rd/Bowie in Maryland.

Their car rolled twice until it crashed into the guard rail. Both dogs escaped from the car. Although uninjured, Yeonwoo and Jon were immediately taken to a trauma center and were not allowed to search for their dogs.

Attila was hit and killed by a car soon after the accident. Haggis is still missing. He has been seen many times since the accident in Bowie and Lanham, MD.

Just the thought makes me tear up.

Alyssa,

That's RIGHT DOWN THE STREET from school (Jericho Park Road and Racetrack)...I wonder if someone took the dog in...I see the chocolate lab all the time...I go that way twice a day during the week, so I'll start keeping my eyes open for him...

Thank you so much Katrina. Pass the website along to your students and ask them to keep the phone number in their cells so they can call immediately if they have a sighting.

It just kills me that he's been on the run for so long. But I'm glad he's still alive. His poor, dedicated, family :( And wow for the volunteers who STILL go out every single day to check the feed stations and who check out every single sighting. There are great people out there!!

It has been 1 year since the accident where both dogs got loose, the Grey was hit by a car and Haggis, the Deerhound, went MIA. Sightings were happening up until 5/13/08, but there has been nothing since.

I know it's a sad update, but just in case anyone was wondering :(
